Products Description
The physical quantity directly measured by the open channel flowmeter instrument is liquid level. When used to measure flow in an open channel, a measuring weir should be installed on the open channel. Measuring weirs convert the flow rate in the open channel into liquid level. The instrument measures the water level in the measuring weir and trough, and then back-calculates the instantaneous flow rate based on the relationship between the water level and flow rate in the corresponding measuring weir and trough.Commonly used water measuring weirs and troughs include: right-angled triangular weirs, rectangular weirs and Parshall troughs.
